About
Spiritual Beings having a human experience is the formative idea that underlies Carbon Prison. There is a Kundalini yogic Kriya designed to dissipate anger and resentment for incarnation and separation from Source. In my experience as a middle-aged, sis female, I’ve been exposed to and suffered “defeats” due to socialized norms, as we all have. We are imprisoned by our biases due to the outward layers of our physical selves. We are all “locked in” to this carbon-derived material unit. The quick gestural portrayal of a female breast, a silhouette, the sense of immediacy and unfinished gestures symbolize the movement of an effervescent ever changing flow that is “identity.” Carbon Prison represents a sense of angst related to the job of being human. It is a recognition of the grit involved in facing our karma and need to step out of duality in order to attain liberation. It points to the longing of the soul to go home.
